Price Band 1 Under €15,000

The best value if you want to invest and to have the least maintenance and upkeep afterwards is to buy land and sit on it. Land in any of the zones is suitable and plots of land can be as small (and still viable) as 250m2, with prices starting at around €20 €uros a square metre on the edge of the River Danube.

Price Band 2 up to €50,000

Once you get within this price bracket there are lots of properties available in all the areas of western Romania, except perhaps Timisoara. Many of them will be is reasonable conditions, though you should expect to make some improvements.

You can buy around 1000-2000 square metres on the perimeter of Timisoara, depending on the location, for €50,000 for commercial or residential usage. These areas are currently being heavily developed and land is between €25 and €55 per square metre in the surburban areas.
